Large Fountain - Loppington
As well as ponds and small water features, we also undertake larger construction work such as the large fountain featured here.
The fountain is available in pre-cast kits, both the fountain surround and the fountain itself are made up from separate sections which need to be carefully put together.
In the case of this particular fountain, a mini-digger was required to carefully move each of the fountain sections into place as the individual sections are too heavy to be lifted up into place by hand.
Once the fountain surround sections were in place, the interior of the surround was lined with bricks and mortar for strength. Then a waterproof concrete mini-mix was brought in to cover steel reinforcing mesh on the bottom of the surround. Once this had set, the sides were plastered with 2 coats of waterproof plaster mix and left to dry. The fountain sections were then moved into place and cemented together. Finally, the pumps, pipes and electrics were installed to complete this very impressive construction.
These fountains are also suitable in hotel grounds and make a fantastic backdrop for hotel wedding photos.
